Saying farewell to 2007

"Looking backwards, many of the saddest times in my life turn out to be the happiest. So I must be happy now. Yeah. This is gonna be good. Why else would I be crying?" Ally McBeal

Last few hours of 2007.
Yes, time does have its way of making things go quickly and then stopping for a while to make you realise how much of it has flown by.
I've said that countless times, I had better come up with a better line next time..
-makes a mental note-

Did some surfing of blogs done by friends a few minutes ago. Seeing that 85% if them ave already put up some post in relation to the year that is about to end - what the hey, I might as well jump on the band wagon.

As part of the assignment given to the BCM kids yesterday, the children and teachers were all told to come up with a list of Good and Bad times during the year that is about to pass.
At first all I could think of were negative things.
Had the pen started moving at that point, I guess the page would not have been enough to contain my woes - mentally slapping myself - it was a good thing the Spirit prompted me to approach the worksheet in a more upbeat manner.
Gwad, still not enough space to contain all the happy moments.
The highs, the highers and highest points to date.
There were still some blotches on the other column but looking at it once more, they were really more like lessons for me. A set of signboards directing me in to a better destination.

At the end of this year, I am thankful for my Family.
They've been a pain at times, but hey, they are my family after all. I am sure they would say the same thing about me.

I am thankful for my friends.
How you guys have helped me I will never to be able to finish typing down.
The time spent has truly been amazing and the new year just begs for us to meet up and go crazy all over again.

If anything, I will remember this year for the following reasons:
Moving house
Multiple opportunities out with Yang Mui, Shi Min, Adelyn, Yingz, Parveen
Camp Enviro-Awareness June and December
Spending so much time in WWS - its become my 2nd home
Meeting the fellas from SP's environmental club
JUMP
My 22nd Birthday celebration
Pig-nose turtle exhibition at Under Water World Singapore
Getting my black belt
Realisation of my responsibilities
Learning to put my foot down
Getting the scare of my life when my Dad had to go to hospital and going to hospital last night to see Grandma.
Watching my very first Muay Thai match
Various meals and outings with Shoon.
The list goes on...

Yeap, I would say it was a good year.
A good good year.
I've got a lot of nice things to remember this year by. =]

Praise God from whom all blessings flow
Praise Him all creatures here below
Praise Him above ye heavenly hosts
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
Amen.

Yes, I shall praise the Lord.

Blessed Christmas 2007

The Writer wishes all who visits her site a blessed Christmas!
May you find much love and laughter as well as many fond memories this year~

Went to service at PLMC with morning with my parents and YKM.
Came home with Dad and then proceeded to Sir’s place for Christmas gathering.
It was fun to hang out with the kiddos and meet new people at the same time.
Made sure the kiddos were all in their respective cars before heading back to my place.

The weekend was a mad rush.
Friday was spent with TKM. Going to the market and trying to get back my rest before the flurry that was to be laid before me.
Saturday morning was spent in WWS and around – bicycle patrol with the Mayflower students and some SP students, this bunch decided to sign on as members! WOOHOOO~
Lunch with Eugene, YL and Yen San.
On to Orchard, courtesy of Eugene, to meet Parveen for the Lime Flea Market.
Got swindled. GO FIGURE~
That said, I had fun with my Sugar Babe!
When are we meeting up again ah?!
-bounces all over the place-

She had to rush off not long after in order to get to a rehearsal which was going on at Down Town East.
I walked around and met up with Shoon.
Shoon, XJ, Edwin, Marilyn and I went to Sakae Sushi to have dinner.
Japanese food is definitely food for thought.
It’s a mystery how I managed to eat so much and still be able to walk.
Jeez… it is a tad scary at times – but the food that night was good, the company heavenly~ =]

Sunday morning rushed to church, rushed to work and then went back to the old house to carry items to the new place.
Stayed in the new place for about and hour before heading off to the CC for training.
The rise in taxi fairs was painful but had to be beared with coz there was much time to be made up for.

I guess my weekend would be summed up in one phrase.
‘Headless Chicken’ anyone?

Monday was spent back at the Minton Rise house carrying stuff and at home for Christmas reunion dinner.
The whole family got together to eat and drink and most importantly give plenty of attention to my Ian. ;)

Yeap… really fruitful time!
Once again – Blessed Christmas to one and all!

Cheers!

Camp Enviro #10 and more...

"Somebody gonna get a hurt real bad..."

Misdated entry, half done, never finished - still gonna have it down anyway :p
Here I am at Camp Enviro.

The campers are all off to bed... yes, we let them off really early.

This camp is very radical compared to all the other camps we have held in the past~

Nuff' said... I've got plenty of memories to last me till the next time WWS holds the next CEA.

~

On to other things.

It's been more than a week since the camp ended and here at the keyboard, you have a different Sharon hitting the keys.

Here are some of the events that have brought me to where I am at the moment:
Moving of self to new house
Taking part in SIM Rugby training
Making the trip back to SIM for TKD training
Handing in of forms to make sure I get a hold of my testimonial from SIM
Moving of self to new house
Manicure and pedicure
Noh-Dor Wedding x2
Carrying of items from old to new home
Shopping
Hanging with peeps and trying to spend more time with the family
WWS patrols - Week day and weekend
Major packing and repacking of cupboards in my room
Getting the hang of travelling around from the new place
WWS Admin
Resume sendings
BCM/WWS/CEA running all over the island camps experience
Jeff and Sera's Wedding
Plenty of visits to White Tangerine
etc...

Did I mention that I've been doing a lot of things in relation to the new place which my family has moved to?

-attempts to siam the fly slippers-

So many things I want to do, so many things I need to do, so little time to get them all done.
That's the issue all the time ain't it?
Even if there were 30 hours in a day and 9 days in a week, we would still not have enough time to get the issues settled.
That's life.
Making the most of the time that is given to us.
Something heard in the Lord of the Rings - which I so happen to 2/3 finish watching recently. That and a few other movies which I happen to have in my bedroom... watching them before sleeping. I shall never have to leave my room ever again (what an extreme, if I ever made one).

-laughs all over the place and rolls around holding tummy in mock pain-

Through all the things which have been going on, I would like to thank God for all that He has done for me.
From start to finish, it is really Him who has been making all the situations possible.
Especially Him holding back the rain till the end of CEA.
Miracles really do happen... we just have to open our eyes to the wonders of His love!

That's all for now...
Continue praising the Lord~
